Passage: 1 Corinthians 15:1-8
Pastor Tom Lundeen
When we don’t know who we are, or if we have ideas about who we are…it will impact everything about our life...
The more we realize that “we’re in…in Christ”, it will shape our understanding of our REAL ID in profound and very ways.
What it means to be in Christ is a theme in the New Testament.
The Apostle Paul used this expression the most (about times).
The Apostle also uses this expression… (note John 15:4a, 5; 17:20-23).
The clearest and most definition of the gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-8…
Note Galatians 2:20; Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:3-5
A. I am in Christ’s crucifixion/ – not only did Jesus die for us; He also died of us. And when He died for us and instead of us, He also placed us “in Him”, so we were crucified with Him. Note Matthew 27:37 and Colossians 2:14-15.
B. I am in Christ’s (note Colossians 2:12a) – our has been buried with Jesus (note Psalm 103:10-12; Isaiah 1:18; 38:17; 43:25; 1 John 1:9).
C. I am with Christ (note Colossians 2:12-13) – We have been raised with Jesus so we now have the option and to live a new life (note Romans 6:4-7, 11). Our old nature has one setting…but if we are in Christ we are given a nature (note Galatians 5:16-17, 24-25)…
