My name is Joy Hernandez, and I’m the Riverside Student Assistant here in Big Lake. My family and I have been part of the Riverside community for almost three years, and it’s been such a meaningful place for us.

I have a heart for students and for people, and I truly believe that every person matters—not just to each other, but to Jesus.

I’m also currently taking online classes in business and HR. I love being able to continue learning and growing, and I’m a big believer that it’s never too late to go back to school!

Outside of church and school, I’m a mom to five amazing kids—and two Yorkies, Teddy and Charlie. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, exercising, and soaking up the sun at the lake.

I’m really excited to be part of this ministry and to see how God moves in the lives of the next generation!
