Small Groups & Care Associate Pastor

After leading churches for more than 30 years across Minnesota, South Dakota and Idaho, my wife, Nancy, and I felt led to move with our three daughters back to Minnesota so I could join the pastoral staff here at Riverside. As we have refamiliarized ourselves with the area and gotten to know this church, I have been so impressed that the tag line, “Not just a place to go, but a family where you can belong” is truly a reality. I love that big is small at Riverside, and as one of the Small Groups and Care pastors I want to do my part to make sure that this continues to be our church DNA by way of our many small groups and care groups. 

Having grown up in the Anoka/Elk River area, Nancy and I have deep roots in this part of the country and still have family, close friends, and even children nearby. In addition to our three teenaged daughters living with us, we have two adult sons in the Twin Cities area as well as one daughter that we left with her husband back in Boise.  It’s good to be home and feel at home at Riverside. We are blessed and well cared for by our Father in heaven.
