My DAD is Stronger Than Your Dad

..the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?" Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them... "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven." Matthew 18:1-4

Jesus isn't telling us to be , but .

• Notice and  what He says gets in the way of that. 
•  isn't just about us turning our backs on God, but also turning our backs on the  He alone offers us. (John 10:10)

What if Jesus came to...

• ...reset your corrupted soul and your  soul?
• ...save you from sinful thinking and  thinking?
• ...restore you to the Father and live in  of the Father?

"My DAD is stronger than your Dad."

Isaiah 6:1: It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple.

• No  authority figure (great or horrible) is . (Phew!)
• Amidst chaos, God's on a . What can that mean to you?
• Our Father is  and ...which we can either deny and ultimately  apart from Him or accept and ultimately experience  with Him. 

Isaiah 6:2-4: Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven's Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!" Their voices shook the Temple to it's foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke. 

• These  angelic " ones" are a mystery to us, perhaps appearing twice in the Bible (see Revelation 4:8).
• Seraphim don't look at God , even with Him there. 
• "Holy, Holy, Holy" is a "trisagion" - passionate,  Truth-telling that God is "" and the whole earth is filled with His glory. (Do you  this?)
• Our Father is unmatched and . (STOP. WAIT.)

Isaiah 6:5: Then I said, "It's all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven's Armies."

• Seeing God as He truly is forces you to see yourself as you truly are. How do you feel about that?
• Why a focus on lips? They can be full of  and  tales. 
• Until we're  by God, we can't be made  by God. 
• Our Father is a destroyer of ...ALL kinds. 

Isaiah 6:6-7: Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, "See, this coal has touched your lips. Now our guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven."

• Isaiah's "" confession becomes a  to God. 
• God's character desires  (not extermination).
• The Lord doesn't want guilt or shame to  you either. 
• When  isn't on your mind, it's on His. 
• Our Father is graciously . 

Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me." (Isaiah 6:8)

• God has a message to send to . Once your  is reset, you can be a messenger for it. 
• Isaiah's answer was immediate without knowing any of the . 
• The genuine response to encountering God is "."
• Our Father is expansively .

HOW CAN YOU GET BACK INTO THE SWING OF THINGS? 

• Like Isaiah, take a look . ("Who are You ?")
• Like Isaiah, take a look . ("Who am I ?")
• Like Isaiah, take a look . (Who are they ?")
