Decisions, Decisions

Pastor Tom Lundeen

Today I’m challenging and inviting everyone at Riverside to fully engage these next 6 weeks in our next all-church spiritual journey because if you will, God will use it to help you experience a more intentional life that will help you make  decisions with fewer regrets (note Ephesians 5:15-17).

1. What is God’s Desire for Me? (My  Life)

Note Romans 6:13

The only thing Christianity cannot be is moderately . (C.S. Lewis)

If Jesus is who He said He is and the Christian faith is true, then He deserves  we are and have.

Note Deuteronomy 10:12

I can’t have  priorities (note Matthew 6:24).

Note Luke 9:59-61

Where are we saying to God, “”?

Note Luke 14:18-20

What  do I keep giving to God to put myself first?

Note Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:33

2. What’s My Part?

Note Proverbs 10:17a

Disciple =  (note 1 Timothy 4:7)

Discipline =  gratification.

Our  define our character.

A. The discipline of saying  (note Hebrews 12:1) - two things that  any spiritual progress and waste our spiritual potential are sin and weight...making better decisions makes  for God. Not everything in life is of  …

B. The discipline of saying  (note Luke 10:40-42) - the average person lives  days—isn’t it a good and wise investment to take about  of those days and figure out what to do with the rest of them? We can’t do it  and that’s okay. It’s not all  (note Psalm 39:6b; Proverbs 10:27; Philippians 2:13).

3. Why Does This ?

Note 2 Corinthians 5:15

We live life to the fullest by living for Him who .

Note Romans 12:1; 2 Corinthians 6:1

Am I making better decisions so I can have fewer regrets?:

  • Only one life, so soon it will ; only what’s done for Christ will last. (C.T. Studd)
  • Let’s commit ourselves to God and be part of something special (note Habakkuk 3:2).
