When we look at the woes in our society or when the unthinkable happens in our life, it can feel like God is distant or uncaring. The story of Daniel is more than just a couple Sunday School miracles if we can actually imagine ourselves in his situation. A captive in a very pagan place. Yet God shone through him and his faith in the struggle is a model for us.
