Passage: Titus 1:16

Reality is we're surrounded daily by people who are control freaks, and the reality also is, everyone is a control freak in some way. This attitude...tends to bleed into our spiritual lives.

There are some things that seem easier for us to trust God with; but there are other things that seem almost impossible for us to release to God's control.

I Believe in God, but Don’t Fully Trust Him

Pastor Tom Lundeen

Gallup poll () = 81% of Americans expressed some level of belief in God.

81% of  agreeing on anything in 2023 is unheard of…

…but we’d all agree that 8 out of every 10 people in 2023 aren’t living lives that reflect the teachings of .

There are huge numbers of people who claim some kind of belief in God, but they  their lives as if God doesn’t exist.

Note Titus 1:16

Note Deuteronomy 9:23

1. I Only Partially Surrender My Life to God

Reality is we’re surrounded daily by people who are control , and the reality also is, everyone is a control  in some way.

This attitude…tends to  into our spiritual lives.

There are some things that seem easier for us to trust God with; but there are other things that seem almost impossible for us to  to God’s control.

(Proverbs 3:5-6, PSV) = Trust in the Lord with  of your heart, lean on your own understanding, in  of your ways acknowledge Him, and you can make your own paths straight.

PSV =  Surrendered Version

Note Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT

So which version is the most accurate  of how you live your life each day?

You and I will never fully experience God’s  for our life when we’re just partially surrendered to Him.

Whatever I hold back from God, that becomes a  wall in my spiritual journey.

2. So How Can Imperfect People  Surrender?

You’re not  in your faith struggles.

ALL OF US imperfect people deal with things…that are challenging for us to surrender/ to God.

Note Mark 9:14-22

Because of Jesus’ response, it’s easy to be  towards this Dad (note Mark 9:23).

It’s always easy when we’re watching someone having else having to trust God in challenging situations they have no control over to find reasons to notice how they could have  it better.

Much different when it’s us who are facing a situation we have no control over and we’re crying out to Jesus with   perfect faith.

Note Mark 9:24

This passage reminds us my faith and yours is imperfect/.
