Conquering Our Giants (Part 1)

 Pastor Tom Lundeen

Giants are problems/ that loom large over us, often produce fear, and paralyze us moving forward.

So how do you and I defeat these giants in our lives that , discourage, and paralyze us from the purpose and plan and dream God has for our lives?

1. I Recall How God has been  to Me

Note:  Exodus 13:3; Deuteronomy 4:20; Psalm 77:11; 111:4; 1 Corinthians 11:24-25

God never .

He’s not .

Note 1 Samuel 17: 32-33

But David persisted…

Note 1 Samuel 17:34-37

There’s not a  on God’s working in, for, and through you.

Note Psalm 143:5

2. I Use What God has Put in My Hands

Too often we keep waiting for something we don’t have...or we wait for something that may .

God can use whatever is in your hands today to  His purposes and plans.

Note 1 Samuel 17:38-40

...sometimes other people will affirm your dream and embrace your hope, but they want you to follow your dream .

God’s not into .

...we easily fall into the trap of wearing  when it doesn’t fit and it’s not what God has put into your hands.

What’s your giant?:

  • Note Ecclesiastes 11:4
  • If we wait until everything is  in a world that’s broken by sin and surrounded by people with spiritually defective DNA, there will always be a giant of some kind in our way…
  • The good news is you don’t have to look like, sound like, dress like, walk like, talk like, or be like someone/something else in order to be
  • Conquering giants in our lives starts by remembering who God is and what He’s done, and trusting Him with what He’s  to us today to use for His glory.
