Really?

Pastor Tom Lundeen

More often than not, as you and I navigate a world that thinks truth is a moving target and God is obsolete, our primary response is, ?

1. When Throws Us a Really?

But this , highly regarded military leader had a Really? come into his life (note 2 Kings 5:1).

He is in a helpless and  situation with nowhere to go and no one to turn to.

It more than likely won't be leprosy, but all of us will be confronted by circumstances at times in our life we have no  over.

2. When an Unexpected  Offers Us a Really?

Note Mark 10:27

Note 2 Kings 5:2-3

needed by Naaman and us to be open to unexpected ways God may choose to work  (note 2 Kings 5:4-5).

3. When  Confront Us with a Really?

Note 2 Kings 5:6-7

If God isn't at the  of your life, if you're not open to God working in your life/situations, then you will see everything through a filter that  something amazing that could happen, and you'll view things people say to you almost always in a negative way.

4. When God's  to Us Seems Like a Really?

Note 2 Kings 5:8-12

Naaman had  how this was supposed to work, how God was going to work; and when it didn't work the way he had determined it should, it crushed his hopes and lit the fuse of his anger.

Problem is (note Isaiah 55:8-9).

God's ways are not our ways, but often we .

Putting God in a box of our  doesn't work.

Note 2 Kings 5:13

 to God's guidance/truth...didn't change Naaman's condition.

Note Matthew 25:21

A genuinely humble attitude makes us , reachable, listeners more than talkers, and opens our hearts and minds to God's answers that we may not have otherwise recognized.

Notes 2 Kings 5:14

Not only was Naaman's physical health transformed, but his heart and  life was transformed (note 2 Kings 5:15-19a).

Perfectly UNEXPECTED:

  • So what is the Really? (or Reallys?) in your life today?
  • Are you perhaps missing  because you predetermined the way God is supposed to work in your life...?
  • Is God urging you to embrace a more  heart?

Note Luke 4:27
