Too Good Not to Share

Pastor Tom Lundeen

In a world that thinks truth is a moving target and God is obsolete, those of us who love, follow, and serve Jesus need to realize we’ve been  with something too good not to share.

1. This World is Broken

Any  study of human history shows that there’s one constant no matter what part of the world, or what era/generation/time period, or what peoples/ethnicities, or cultures are focused on = .

While we are all on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (for good reasons), the fact is, in 2022 right now there are  other nations that experiencing severe conflicts…

Note 2 Kings 6:24-25

Note Leviticus 11:2-7

Every day it is  over and over again that people with spiritually defective DNA end up producing a broken world.

2. Individuals Are

Note 1 Kings 20; 2 Kings 5; 6:8-23

And it’s often when the  is on that what’s really inside comes out (note 2 Kings 6:26-29).

Because every single person has spiritually defective DNA…every person has the  of thinking, saying, and doing wrong/bad and even evil things.

3. God Gets  for Human Evil

The vast majority of bad things and evil that have happened throughout history are , but God regularly gets blamed for human evil (note 2 Kings 6:30-33).

Note 2 Kings 3; 5; 6

A king and a nation that had turned their backs on God and  now blame God for the evil choices of people.

4.  Changes Everything

Note 2 Kings 7:1, 2

Once again, God is going to work in perfectly unexpected ways to  perfectly unexpected through Elisha.

Note Leviticus 13:46; 2 Kings 7:3-4

Note 2 Kings 7:5-8

But God’s amazing grace is never to be  or kept silent about (note 2 Kings 7:9).

The rest of the account shows their efforts to  people that their salvation, rescue, had already been done.

Note 2 Kings 7:12-15

And they  God’s Word is true, and that He can be trusted (note 2 Kings 7:16).

Perfectly UNEXPECTED:

  • They lived in  and hopeless times…
  • Everything around them and in them was  and empty.
  • Their lives, their hopes, their dreams, and futures were all  because God made a way to rescue them.
  • And because they shared this good news,  of lives were saved.
